Renfrewshire / Hugh m(a)cmillan Paisley weaver

Trying to track down Hugh Macmillan Paisley weaver , he married Elisabeth Bowie in Paisley in 1824 stayed in George street. He died in march 1838 according to Poor law records but have been unable to find certificate. Elisabeth remarried in 1839 to William Bowie , but was abandoned and moved in with relatives and family to Esperdair Sreet Paisley in 1841 Census. children born in Paisley include Mary, Anne and James , all born Paisley between 1824 and 1832, unable to find birth certificates. Any assistance gratefully received .

Family History Beginners Board / Clydebank Mcmillans / Dunctocher

Thank you for accepting me on to the board. Trying to track info on my great grandfather Hugh Mcmillan and family who came from paisley to work at Dunctocher mill in 1901 Census. Returned to Paisley in 1911. Mcmillan branch has links to Bowie through marriage , Henry Bowie who briefly owned Mountblow. Trying to establish if that link got him job, also photos etc of mill / staff in 1901. Grateful for any advice.
