I started a thread way back in 2006 entitled 'Illegitimate Child'. I would dearly like to find it again and post a link to it or bring it back to the top for another RootChat member to see. I have Vista and, according to my Vista manual, defrag is set to run automatically every week. I have mine set to defrag every Wednesday at 6 pm. How do I know if this is happening because, having the pc on now, I cannot see anything that says it is running.

A couple of weeks ago I was being prompted to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 but didn't get round to doing it. Now the prompt has gone from my screen. Could somebody please tell me how I can upgrade to IE8 now and does it take long to do, and, as I am not very computer literate, is it difficult?

I have Vista Ultimate and for the last couple of days have been having problems getting the computer to come on - the mouse and keyboard light up, it gives 1 beep, then goes off. It takes me 2-3 attempts to get it to boot-up, but usually get there eventually. Any ideas what is wrong please? I am no pc expert by the way!

Hi, for some unknown reason I have 2 accounts with Facebook and need to delete one of the accounts. I am at a loss how to do this. There are a few others on there with the same problem. Emailing Facebook is a wate of time. Does anyone know how to do this please.

I have Vista Ultimate and AVG-free 8.5. I have programmed it to do a daily scan. Today I noticed it hadn't been done and had a look and am being told 'Scan log is corrupted - scan not finished properly'. Anyone got any idea what this means and what I can do please. Never has a problem with the older version of AVG.

I was notified that my AVG-free 7.5 needed upgrading to 8.5. Have done this, but it still shows as 7.5 on my desktop. How can I be sure it has upgraded to 8.5 please. Have I done something wrong?
