Somerset Lookup Requests / Leonard R Brown 1921 (1923)

Looking for any information on Leonard Roy Brown born 1921, Truro. There are 2 births listed, one is for Kearsley-Brown the other for Brown both with same  mother  " Williams"  Truro 5c 196 . He was an uncle and I've never heard the Kearsley name before so assume one must be a transcription error.
He married Joyce W Sanders in 1945 in London and they had a daughter in 1948. Leonard Roy and Joyce died in 2002 in Yeovil.
I would like to confirm Leonard Roy's birth details and maybe his parents. Also he was a high ranking police officer in the Kenya police force probably between 1948 and 1960 during the Mau Mau uprising. I have been trying to find his police record but no success yet. Thanks.

You know how it is, you have childhood memories of an uncle or aunt but later in life you can't put them all together and produce results. Thats the delemer  I'm facing now.
I have vivid memories of an uncle, who I must of only met 4 or 5 times, and what I was told about him at the time. I was told that he was a high ranking member of the Kenya police force broberly between 1950 and 1960, I have trolled the internet to try and find more information about him and his career in East Africa but have drawn a complete blank. I have his birth, marriage and death records but thats all. Does anyone know of an archive that I can search to find the details I am looking for? Thanks.

Married Charlotte Soane in England 1850. His father may of been Henri or Henry.

William Batchelor b1865 Kent. Married Elizabeth Soane b1869 in 1891 Uckfield.  Children :- Florence b1891, William b1892 Framfield, Minnie Victoria b1897 Uckfield, Charles Donald b1899 Framfield, Elsie May b1902 Croydon.  William is in the 1891 unmarried the the whole family disappears untill 1911 in Croydon. I suspect that they were still in Uckfield area in 1901 but can't find any trace. Any thing would be helpful. Thanks.

Happy New Year everyone. I have posted this request before but I am no further advanced,the proverbial brick wall. I'm still looking for the parents of John Britten born Berkshire 1813. He married Maria Carter, 1816, on January 31 1836 at St.Mary Reading. They had 4 children, Anna Maria 1837, William 1840, Mariann 1848 and James A.C. 1855. They are in the 1851 census living in London, James is no problem but all the others draw a blank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

William Beckwith 1805
Stillborn               1807
Mary Beckwith     1809
John Beckwith      1812
Eli Beckwith          1815

They had other children born after 1815 which I have records for.

Please bare with me on this,it gets complicated.
Benjamin Beckwith appears as a witness on the marriage cert. of one of my ancestors, Caroline Beckwith. Despite many days of searching I can't link him into my family. What I've found so far is Benjamin was born in Halstead. Essex in 1811 and he married twice, (Hannah and Georgiana). His parents were proberly William and Elizabeth Beckwith but I can't find any dates for them.
Caroline was born c1821 Halstead and her parents were William c1790 and Mary c1786.
Try as I may I can't link Benjamin with my line of Beckwiths so I must be missing something somewhere, maybe a fresh mind can help me. Thank you.

I'm looking for the birth record of Joshua Beckwith c1826 Halstead. He's on the 1841 census spelt Josua then it becomes a bit vague. I'm trying to tie him in with Joshua Beckwith on the 1881 census born c1823, married to Emma but not sure if it's the same person.
