« on: Wednesday 08 February 06 05:24 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone know where I would be able to look for these records.  I have tried all the India sites but they do not go as far as this date.  I would love to trace my mothers family.  All I know i sthat my mother was born in Karachi and Im presuming her father must have been in the army. Thanks Izabel

Armed Forces Resources / Link: Boer War - Links
« on: Sunday 05 February 06 15:39 GMT (UK)  »
Hi everyone.  I am getting to all the queries - have been really busy at work since the new year.

Two more sites that may help in your quest

http//abw.netfirms.com/ whatwas.htm  link broken

This site has a good account of what it was like for the british solider in the boer war and a lot of interesting links

http //www.justdone. co.za/ROH link broken

The SA Roll of Hounour lists is quite comprehenisve so if you think your relative died in the war this is the place to start

Please bear with me, Izabel
