Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Damaged photo of grandmother and great aunt

Hi all,

This is a photograph of my grandmother Catherine (Kate) Neary, standing, and her sister Jane Neary. They were from Staleen in Co. Meath, Ireland and were born in 1890 and 1885 respectively. Catherine was married in 1914 to James Gleeson in Athy, Co. Kildare, Ireland and I believe that this photo is taken before then. Unfortunately it is quite damaged but if anyone can help some restoration I would be very grateful.

Ireland / Copies of wills from National Archives

Hello,
I want to order a will from the National Archives and I have located the index on their site. It tells me when the person died and when the Grant of Probate was made, and to whom it was made. I have printed the order form to obtain a copy of the testamentary document and must select which type of document I require. I am stuck between 2 options:- a)Will and b) Grant of Probate. I assumed that I select Will but would like to be sure. Does anyone know?

Laois (Queens) / Arles Cemetery Gravestones - Gleeson family

Hi,
I have a blurred photo of the gravestone of James Gleeson and his family in Arles Cemetery. There is one large gravestone for which I do have the details but there are 3 other smaller gravestones in the same plot that are blurred in my photo. Is there anyone that could provide me with the information on these smaller gravestones? I believe two refer to Kathleen Gleeson and one to Rose Gleeson.

Meath / Missing townland from Tithe Applotment Books

Hi,

I did post a question on this a long time ago and am hoping that possibly someone new to Rootschat has an answer.
The townland of Stalleen / Staleen in Co Meath is not present in the Tithe Applotment Books and yet I have gravestone transcriptions that mention Staleen and date from 1814 and 1818.

Could Staleen have been part of another townland? I am struggling to find a reason for why this townland is not part of the Tithe Applotment Books.

Kildare / Inmates of workhouses

I have just discovered that a female relative and her 3 children were put into a workhouse. They lived in Monasterevan and i do not know which workhouse they would have been sent to. This happened in 1901. Is there any way of finding the names of workhouse inmates, when they entered and when they left?

Searching for any information on James Neary born 1893 in Ardwick. Father Nicholas Neary from Co Meath, mother Mary Ellis nee Dwyer.

James was present on the 1911 census living with parents in St Helens.

I have just discovered that some of my Gleeson ancestors are buried in Ardreigh Cemetery, Athy. If anyone lives near there and could see what Gleeson gravestones are located there i would be extremely grateful.

Hello,

Searching for information on Lawrence, Thomas, John, William and Patrick Bellew from County Meath, Ireland who emigrated to the US in the mid 1800s.

All i know is that William Married Julia and lived around the Ossining area of New York. The other brothers may have moved elsewhere in the US.

Michael born 3/12/1864 married to Marcella Dunne
I have the census information on Eliza and Michael and Charles but no information on the other children
Any information would be very helpful.
