Looking for help with a Charles russcusskfa/Ruskufka/Ruskufka. I have looked him up on a few websites and found him in trees stating born in Slovakia 1780s. He is stated as a marriner at time of marriage in Middlesex to Eleanor Tabram.
Could someone please advise on the correct spelling?
Thank you

I am currently working on the Ruskufka-Smith family. I do not know the correct spelling to search for ancestors. Slovakia was thought to be where Thomas Carles Ruskufka born about 1870 but I have no proof. He was a mariner when he married Eleanor Tabram in Middlesex, London about 1807.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I am looking for help with the marriages of the males in the family of Thomas Charles Ruskufa-Smith. The name Smith was probably adopted when the children were born, but all were born in the Limehouse/Ratcliff area of Middlesex.
Thank you in advance

London and Middlesex / John and Tabitha downes 1861
« on: Monday 01 January 24 22:25 GMT (UK)  »
I have found John and Tabitha in 1841, 1851, 1871 and 1881 hut cannot find them in 1861 census. John died before 1891 census.
They lived in Mile end london and both born around 1820. Married in April 1841.
Was there a 1861 census for this area? I've tried looking for both names and their children, Ellen, Tabitha and Matilda.
I have also searched by known addresses in 1851 and 71. Any ideas please. Thank you.

Canada Lookup Request / Census record search for Brooks alberta
« on: Thursday 21 September 23 17:44 BST (UK)  »
Hello. I am trying to track down a census record for a family called Tallbot. Son Denver/Hulbert born in 1920, father Albert, born 1900 in Britain and  mother a native Blackfoot indian. No idea of year born. Albert is a trapper.
The family lived in Brooks Alberta until the early 1940s. Albert died in 1925. Denver and his mother lived with a relative after that year. Denver left Canada without his mother to work as merchant seaman on ships and stayed in Wales until death.

Please note I have all records for Denver's life in Wales.

Thank you.

Glamorganshire / Annie and Florence Moore
« on: Thursday 04 May 23 18:46 BST (UK)  »
In my quest to find a link between Annie Jane Moore born 1886 in Porth and Florence Mabel Moore also born in Porth, I have failed to find a 1891 census record for Annie which will end my quest.
Their father was Henry Moore born in Holsworthy Devon, their mother was Charlotte Hillman also born in Devon.
They were married in 1883 in Holsworthy and came to live in Wales. They had many children and lived in Porth for much of their lives after marrying.
I believe Annie and her husband John Rowlings adopted Florence's first son William born 1917, before her marriage to Edward Venables. He is living with Annie, John and John's father William in York Place Porth.
I can only find a record for Annie living with a Thomas Moore which is suppose to be her grandfather but it is not.
Can I have help please. Thank you.

Gloucestershire / Cherry garden lane bitton.
« on: Saturday 11 February 23 13:07 GMT (UK)  »
On the opposite end of Cherry Garden Lane from Barry hill, was a property  owned by The Parry family in the late 1700s.
In a will the property was described as being at the top of Cherry Garden Lane. I cannot find a property that could be old enough to be it. Any suggestions please. Thank you

Gloucestershire / Cherry Garden Lane Bitto

I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I am looking for occupants of Barry Hill House which was described on my 5x great grandfather, John Wright, will, 1816, house formally known as Baggeridges as at the end of Cherry Garden Lane in Bitton. I can find occupants in 1939 but nothing before that. I know that the house was bought about 1793 from the Baggeridge family. I was told by a cousin that it was either Westover house or Barry Hill House which her grandmother visited in the 1840s. I am at a loss as which one though as I can find no record of ownership of them by A person with surname of Wright, Stone, or Lacey being some family relatives.
John Wrightwas Mary Barry who died before her husband. This leads to me believing that Baggeridges was renamed Barry Hill house after Mary's death.
Another property mentioned in John Wrights will was a property named Parry's at the top of Cherry Garden Lane. I think this is no longer standing as  cannot find on Google maps a property described.
