Technical Help / Best way to post picture for restoration from Android device
« on: Wednesday 07 April 21 21:57 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I was wondering if there was a specific way of posting a picture for restoration on here from an Android phone?  The info I've read seems to be about posting them from computers?
Thank you.

Researching through the Games family from Talgarth, there's mention of an age discrepancy. It's not very clear, but I think it says he belongs to the 15th R Batty, RFA, and the note sent says that his medical was A.I, having attained the age of 19.  The next note mentions his actual birthday and that they are to  "deal with this man in accordance with A.C.I 470 of 1918".

Does anyone know what all the abbreviations mean please?
Thank you

I'm trying to trace maps/pictures of barracks that my Great Grandfather, Sgt Frederick Charles Llewellyn stayed or lived in.  So far I've found
Watton Barracks, (1881-?)
Curragh Camp (1886)
Crinkle Barracks (1887)
The Census for 1891 has him and his family living in the
Civil Parish : Lower Pool
Administrative County : Montgomery
Municipal Burrough : Welshpool
Ecclesiastical Parish District : St Mary's Welshpool
Address : Armoury Sq
I can't find anything relating to the address/area or any barracks....only Welshpool as a town.
He is also listed in the baptism records as a  Colour Sgt in the 4th battalion SWB when he has always been recorded as being in the 1st.
A twofold question!
Any ideas on where to look or any info will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hi,
I'm trying to find a baptism record for my Great Granduncle who I found to have been born in Parsons town in February in 1887.

His Dad , from what info I have, was a Lance Sergeant Charles Frederick Llewellyn in the 1st Battalion on the 24th regiment (South Wales Borderers?)in Curragh Camp in 1885/6 and then Staff Sergeant Frederick Charles Llewellyn of the 4th battalion SWBorderers in Pool Town in 1888.  He had children baptized in both these places, but I can't find any military records or baptism record for his son in Parsons town in 1887.

I'm thinking as an officer in the SWB, that maybe their time in Parsons town was transient, but as I can find no other records, I'm assuming my Great Granduncle may have been baptized in a church in or related to the barracks?  I can baptism records for all their other children before and after 1887, just not my Great Granduncle.
Any help or info on my 2nd Great Grandfather C.F Llewellyn or my Great Granduncle will be greatly appreciated.
