« on: Sunday 07 April 24 22:26 BST (UK)  »
Hi

Me again.

Looking to find information on JOHN JAMES DOOGAN

I know he married Mary Gallagher in Burtonport co. Donegal 03/09/1955

His father's name may be John Doogan.

They lived in Perth Scotland.

If anyone can point me in the direction of finding birth / parents details for John Jame Doogan, I am hitting a brick wall.

I have all the records from Scotland on his children, it's just the Irish connection I can't find.

Mny thanks

Hi

I am trying to trace birth records for my Great Grandfather - Daniel Doogan.  All we know is that he was born in Ireland.

I know that from the 1901 Scotland Census he lived in Leith, Midlothian, Scotland and it puts him at age 28 so his birth would be around 1873.  He married Margaret (Maggie) Wiliamson in Leith 1895.

We know that the Doogan (with the double O) name either originates from or was common around Donegal and in particular in Kincasslagh.  I think that Daniel Doogan's parents were Henry Doogan and Elizabeth Queen or Quinn, most likely born in Ireland also.

My Grandfather, Simon Doogan was Daniel & Maggie's son, and they had 3 other (living) sons Henry (Harry), David and Joseph.

Can anyone help me find Irish birth records for Daniel and his parents.

Thank you.

Family History Beginners Board / SULLIVAN FAMILY - Killyclogher

Hi

I am trying to trace the birt of my Gread Grandfather Patrick Sullivan.  I have conflicting date of birth from various sites.

His parents were Francis Sullivan and Mary Ann (Marion) Sullivan (nee Buchanan) and we think he was born in Killyclogher between 1878 and 1884.
They moved to Scotland at some point where Patrick married Elizabeth Storrie in 1906.
Patrick was killed in WWI at the Battle Of The Somme on 01/07/1916.

We have records that say he was 32 at the time of death (birth 1884?) and records that say he was born on March 25 1878 in Killyclogher.  We have no way of finding out which is correct.

I anyone can point me in the right direction to find birth or marriage records for Tyrone at that time I would be grateful.

Many thanks
