The Common Room / Personal Computer World Feb edition - Genealogy Feature
« on: Saturday 11 December 04 18:31 GMT (UK)  »
Just like to point out that there is a big article in the February 2005 edition of Personal Computer World concerning genealogy entitled "Keep it in the family". It's a whole five pages dedicated to genealogy and even reviews software packages. Not a bad article for a newbie, BUT not much for someone with any grounding.

They recommend Family Tree Maker 2005 CE for 69pounds99.
Think I'll stick with Brother's Keeper 6 as Shareware, thanks!

Genes Reunited and Rootsweb get mentioned, but no Rootschat  :'(  :o

And if you wonder how come I've got a February edition two months in advance, well, it's because subscribers get advance copies so we get the best PC deals cheaper!  ;)

Geoff.
