Midlothian / John Morgan/ Madge Christie

Hi all,
Trying to find Information on a John Morgan/ Madge Christie. They fostered my uncle Thomas Cuthbert born 1904 Edinburgh, both his parents had died by the time he was aged about 13yrs old and he changed his name to Thomas Morgan on his Marriage Cert. He had 5 brothers John 1891/ William 1896/ Daniel1900/ Alexander 1902/ George 1907 & 1 sister Mary 1889.but we think they also fostered his brother George. George kept his original name Cuthbert. On Uncle Tommy,s Marriage in Ayr it said that both John & Madge had died. Tried to find their deaths on Scotlands People with no luck. Can,t seem to find anything out about John & Madge. Just wandering if anybody has them in their family tree. Thank you.

Ayrshire / Schools from about 1910/1950

Hi,
I,m trying to find out what schools my mother & her brothers & sisters went to from about 1910/1950,s,they lived in Green st Lane, then South Harbour St, York St Lane, Ayr. There were 16 in the family and thats why theres a large range in the years. Thanks for any help.

Hi all,
I i,m hoping someone out there might know something about this family mystery.
My uncle Stanley Thomas Cuthbert was born in 1904 Edinburgh & died 1972 Ayr. He was known to us as Tommy, He had 6 other siblings born from 1889. His father Daniel Cuthbert, Butcher died 1913, his Mother Mary Cuthbert (McLean) died 1917 in Edinburgh Stanley Thomas And his brother George were fostered. Don,t know for sure if they were both fostered to the same foster parents or wether it included any of his other siblings. The foster parents were a John Morgan & Madge Christie both died before 1925. The 6 other siblings kept the name Cuthbert but Uncle Tommy Changed his name to Morgan. trying to find out if John & Madge had any more children and thats why Uncle Tommy changed his name not to be different from the rest of the family.
Not knowing the age or where they lived I,m hoping they might have been still living in Edinburgh. I have tried Scotland People but can,t seem to find any Marriage/ Deaths that might fit John or Madge. sorry its so long winded.

I,m trying to find information of the children of Thomas Young & Sarah Lucas ,Living in Richie St, Glasgow born in Ayr even though on the 1911 Census it says they were born in Glasgow. I have the marriages of 6 of thier children Which are
Agnes Young & Samuel Hoatson, M 13/12/1892
Flora Young & Andrew Drennan, M 7/6/1901
Sarah Young & Patrick Murphy, M 4/1/1907
Janet Young & Patrick Conlin, M 11/10/1907
Daniel Young & Helen Murphy, M 26/12/1918
Elizabeth Young & James McLachlan, M 27/12/1912
The ones i,m having trouble finding are:
Thomas Young born about 1877
Margaret Young born about 1881
Alexander Young born about 1896

I have spent quite a lot of credits with SP with no luck as there are such a lot of Youngs. I,m hoping some one may be following some one out of the family and might be able to help.

I,m Trying to find out what happened to a John & Mary Hendry.
I have them in the 1851 Census as follows
John Hendry - 36- Ireland
Mary Hendry - 34 Ayr
Charles Hendry- 15 - Iron Miner - Lodger Ayr
I can,t seem to find a marriage or death for them. I,ve checked SP but nothing seems to fit them.

Has anybody got any off the following names in their tree. Peter Henry/Hendry/Hendrie married to Mary Monaghan/Madden.,they were born abot 1786 & 1793.I believe i have them in the 1841 Census At the High St, Ayr, With James aged 16 & a Charles aged 4. Both Peter & Mary were Deceased before 1851. If i,m right and their son James is the line i,m following i know about this side of the family. It said on James death that his mothers name was Monaghan. I,m trying to confirm that they are brothers. In the 1851 Census Charles is living with a John Hendry aged 36 & a Mary aged 34 in Dalry, I, have tried to find a marriage/death for a John & Mary but no luck. I was hoping they may be related. Charles married a Catherine Colquhoun in 1858 it said his mothers maiden name was Madden and he had 7 children in Dalry.
