Hi guys,

I'm searching for any information regarding the family of Jonathan Oldham my G.G.G.G Grandfather who was born c.1781 in Hepworth. I have the details of his marriage to Elizabeth Blacker in 1806 at Emley also their 5 children and further descendancy. The 1851 & 1861 census' both record him at a younger age, suggesting he was born in 1789.
I'm struggling to find any record of Jonathan's baptism thus no record of parents and siblings (if any) from the IGI. His 2nd marriage record of 1848 does however record his father as John Oldham a Clothier so that may help.

Thank you for your time people!
Regards,

Peter.

Hi All,

My G.G.G.G Grandfather Robert Jackson of Hooton Roberts, Yorkshire married a Mary ? of Beighton, Derbyshire/Yorkshire in around 1807 in Beighton, there marriage is not on the I.G.I as the Beighton records in the index start at 1813. If someone has access to the Boyd's Marriage Index or Beighton marriage records I would be very grateful if you could help me.

Kindest regards & thanks in advance,
Peter.

Hi All,

I'm looking for my G.G.G Grandfather Caleb Hartland's death record. I can't find it at all in the indexes and I'm stuck with where to go from here. He was born in 1827 in Wolverhampton to Edward & Mary Hartland, he married Jane Haynes in 1847 and lived in Upper Penn in the 1851 census then in the Pountney Street area in West Wolverhampton (St.John's Ward) for what seems would be the rest of his life. He was a Coffee Mill Maker by trade. It clearly shows his wife Jane as a widow in the 1881 census and there's no sign of him on the census in its entirety.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,

Peter.

Hi Everyone,

Could S.K.S please search for my Pickles family who left Bradford, West Yorks. sometime after the 1881 census via possibly Liverpool to Philadelphia, PA. James (age:34) & Grace (age:33) Pickles my G.G Grandparents emigrated with my G.G Aunt Ann Eliza (age:2) after the 1881 census but before April 1882 when my G. Grandmother Sarah Jane was born in Philly. They went on to have 3 more children (as far as I know?) there before returning after the 1891 census to Bradford. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Requests / 1861 census lookup Ruston please.

Hi All,

Could somebody please do a search in Ruston and surrounding area for a James Baker born approx: 1824, he was an Innkeeper in 1869 living at Cambridge St., Scarborough. He has a daughter Jane born: 1847 in Ruston. I don't have him down in any census as I don't know much about him. Hopefully though there won't be many James Bakers with daughters called Jane born in the above year!

Thank You For Your Time,
Regards.

Hi Everyone,

Could somebody please find me a Arthur William Waldby Duggleby in the 1871 census? He was born in Bishop Burton in 1854 and should be listed as a butcher. His parents are in Staintondale but there's no sign of him. He should be in the Scarborough Area.

Thank You For Your Time,

Peter Thompson.

Hi Everyone,

Would some kind person please search for my Harper family in West Wolverhampton in the 1841 census? The family consists of a:

James Harper - Not sure on age - Miner? - B:?
Ann Harper -  abt 33 - Tin Toy Maker - B:Wolverhampton (Yes for Born In County)
William Harper - 2/3 - B:Wolverhampton, Jun Qtr. 1838 (Yes for Born In County)

With William born in Wolverhampton in 1838 and their next child Elizabeth in March Qtr. 1842 it should definitely put them in Wolverhampton at the time of the census.
The family without James lived at Tin Shop Alley, West Wolverhampton in 1861+1871 census if that helps? They could be around Pountney Street?

Thank You For Your Time,

Regards.

Flintshire Lookup Requests / Worthenbury 1861 census lookup please.
« on: Wednesday 01 June 05 16:56 BST (UK)  »
Hi Everyone,

Could someone please lookup a William Whitfield Griffith/s b.1843 in Worthenbury, Flintshire. I don't know his parents names all I am aware of is he was in Warwick Prison in the 1881 census. He must have married his wife Catherine during that year or before as his son John was born in Liverpool in 1882. He was a watchmaker by profession so with a bit of luck his father may have been as well.

Thank You For Your Time.

Regards,

Peter Thompson.
