Hi

Please, does anyone have access to parish records covering Old Weston?

I am seeking the names of parents, and possible siblings of Robt. Robinson.

Thanks in advance.

Huntingdonshire / SURKIS / SURKISS family Elsworth
« on: Monday 17 July 17 18:38 BST (UK)  »
My 5xGt Grandparents were John Surkis and Elizabeth Childs.
They married in 1765 at Elsworth.

How do I search further back in time to find their births and parents, please?

Also, I note the surname Surkitt.  Would this be a variant of Surkiss?

Thanks in advance.

I hope someone can help, please?
I have a John Martin Eveleigh, born 6.11.1887 Pimlico, London. I simply cannot find him on the 1891 or 1911 UK Census's.
His Mother, Eliza Eveleigh was unmarried when she had him but she later married Alfred Thomas Woolloff - in 1892. I assume Mr Woolloff wasn't the father due to the five year gap between the birth and his mothers marriage.
Also, as John Martin Eveleigh was killed in action in WW1, his military records show his name as John Martin Eveleigh, not Woolloff. So I can take it he was not acknowledged as Woolloff's child.
I found him on the 1901 Census, within the Woolloff household, but also haven't found Eliza Eveleigh on the 1891 Census, either.
Thanks in advance.

I can see the baptisms of many Newborn's of Barnack, Northants, but the one I'm seeking is missing.  I've looked on FindMyPast and Ancestry, but definitely there is no record for Charles Newborn.
On a couple of trees on Ancestry, I can see his parents are said to be Edward Newborn and Mary Lambert, but where will these details have come from?
Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to be asking for help, again.

Could someone with access to the Parish records for Whittlesey please look for the Marriage of William Goodwin, please.

With the help of the GRO birth index, I've found his children born post-1837 are to a mmn, Claypole.  I have no idea when they wed.

Hints on Ancestry show other people's public trees stating Mary Austin being the mother of  his children.  So I am confused;  Did William Goodwin marry twice, both times to Mary's?  Or was Mary Claypole  a widow (of Mr Austin), when she married Wm Goodwin.

Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Please could someone look up the Marriage for William Green of Whittlesey in 1809.

Who did he marry?  (Hoping to hear it is to a Sarah someone-or-other).

Many thanks.

I have a Mary Matthews, who according to the Censuses was born 1811, living her life within the Whittlesey, Cambs area.

I hope someone can look at the relevant Parish records her parents, for me, please.

I searced the BMD on the .gov site now, I have found a John Matthews died at Whittlesey in 1838, aged 53.  So possibly this may be her father?  That would account for me not tracing him on any Censuses.

She married to John Green, Whittlesey possibly around 1831, (and a GRO search show mother's maiden name, Matthews on birth records of her children).  Could someone also kindly confirm the marriage details for me?

One of her sons, also named John, born in 1838 was hanged in 1864 within Cambridge Gaol for the murder of a woman in Whittlesey the previous year.  He was my husband's 3x Gt Grandfather.

Although I subscribe to findmypast, Ancestry and the BNA, I haven't been able to get any potentially positive results from my searches of these sites.

Thanks in advance.
