Staffordshire / 1851, 1861 census for the Austin family
« on: Wednesday 13 July 22 11:43 BST (UK)  »
I trying to gather evidence to establish a marital connection with my great grandfather. My gggf James Jervis married Ann Austin in 1845 in Stoke on Trent. The marriage cert gives Ann's father as Robert Austin as a shoemaker. But in the 1841 census there is a Robert Austin with a daughter Ann living in Stoke on Trent with an occupation of printer. Hopefully the 1851 and 1861 will settle the issue.

I would be grateful if someone could assist me.

many thanks.

Hepzibah Smith married Thomas Holland in 1842 in Hales Lincolnshire and had two children, Samuel and Sarah.

With a forename like that I should be an interesting story and it would helpful if you could aid me in missing apparences in the census's in the title to this topic.

Many thanks

Staffordshire Lookup Requests / Emma Kimberley Husselbee
« on: Saturday 02 April 22 18:17 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to unravel the appearance of the Kimberly name when she was born to Daniel Husselbee in 1816 in Stoke near to Coventry. Daniel was just married to Mary Taylor - no sign of a parental Kimberley? Her siblings with Daniel as father all called themselves Kimberleys.

Would apreciate any information that helped with this problem.

Leicestershire / Husselbee families in Leicester
« on: Tuesday 29 March 22 19:35 BST (UK)  »
I am researching the dates when Husselbee and Husselby families first appeared locally in Leicester. They originated in Gnosall in Staffordshire and then appeared in the Kingswinford and Birmingham localities.

I would very much appreciate help in doing this as it should highlight the effect of industrialisation upon moves to where skills were needed.

Many thanks

« on: Saturday 19 February 22 14:26 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
I am researching the relationship of two families in the Wombourne and Wolverhampton areas.

There are at least 20 marriages in the late 19th century but a wider relationship is not proved possible from the current information.

I would be most grateful for any assistance.

Many thanks
