I would like to trace George Howdle b1825 back through as many census' as possible please.

I am trying to build up a picture of his movements and a link with his parents.

I would be very grateful for any information.

Shropshire / Thomas Smith

Hi
I'm a complete beginner and a bit unsure how this all works, so here goes. Thomas Smith is my gg grandfather born.c1820? in St Chads which I think is a parish of Shrewsbury. He appears in the 1841 census but is not part of his family group in 1861, possibly dead.

His wife was Elizabeth (b.1821 Pontesbury) and in the 1861 census she was in Condover with my g.grandfather Job 12(coal miner), Emma 18 (b. c1843, Moel Brace), John 10 (scholar), Thomas 16 (coal miner) and William 16 (coal minor).

Perhaps Thomas senior was killed at the pit, would you know which one? I haven't found any births or a marriage. Any information about Thomas' birth or marriage would be much appreciated.

Thanks
David
