The Common Room / Help please with Lizzie & son Anthony
« on: Thursday 21 August 14 13:30 BST (UK)  »
Hi all.
I am researching Lizzie Ada b 29 May 1867 Clerkenwell. Lizzie married Anthony Frederick Bowers 25 Dec 1886. 1891 Lizzie is living 54 Provost St, Shoreditch London. Age 24 yrs, married, 1 child ( Elizabeth Rose ). Another daughter Lizzie Ada is born Jul 1890, dies later that year. Another daughter Jessie Maria birth regd Shoreditch Dec qtr 1891, she dies 1911 age 19 yrs. Son Anthony Frederick Bowers b 04 Oct 1894 Shoreditch. In Feb 1894, the husband Anthony Frederick Bowers was in prison, jailed for sexual assault against his six year old daughter Rose! It was his second sexual assault charge, also assaulting his daughter Jessie. The 2 girls were the subject of removal orders. The second page of the girls settlement stated that " the mother was seriously ill ".
01 Jun 1894: Settlement Orders for Lizzie, show that she was pregnant with son Anthony, and in
1901 she is at The Convent, Dover, Kent. Age  39 yrs, convalescent patient. After 1901 I have lost track of her. I have Jessie in 1911, Elizabeth Rose in 1901, but no trace of the son Anthony Frederick apart from his baptism record Oct 1894. Elizabeth Rose died 1958. The husband dies 1916.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you .. Lyn.

Hi all,
For many years I have been searching for 2 brothers, born originally in London 1887 & 1889. This year I have finally found the details of 1, Reuben White, who married 1923 registered in York, and I have his marriage and death certificates. Reuben had a brother, shown on the 1891 census as Ormond, age 4 yrs, living Meard St, St Anne Soho, Westminster London. After the 1891 census, I loose track of Ormond. In 1901 Reuben is shown

I have just located a marriage for an Ormond White,

. I was wondering if anyone would be able to find out the details of the marriage for me, to save me having to purchase the certificate, particularly the name of Ormond White's Father ( he died 1891 ) which hopefully will be entered on the document.

Despite doing searches covering most possibilites, I can't find any trace of Reuben. Would appreciate any input from some fresh sets of eyes  ???

United States of America / George Alfred White
« on: Thursday 22 May 14 13:28 BST (UK)  »
I have a copy of a Registration Card dated 09 Jul 1918, for George Alfred White. George  was born Islington London in 1885. The writing on the registration card isn't very clear, but his address looks like 1009 * North St, Jackson Michigan, age 33 yrs.  George's occ: Mechanical Engineer. Employer's name - Sparks **** Co. George's nearest relative shown as Florence L White of the same address, probably his wife. The registration paper is stamped Local Board for Jackson Michigan City Hall Building. Prior to this, the last info I have for George ( my gt g/uncle ) is as a 6 yr old, in 1891, living at St Anne Soho, Westminster London.

Any information would be very much appreciated. Many thanks,

Hello all.
Would anyone be able to find out the marriage details for a marriage registered June qtr 1957 Westminster. Both parties are now deceased. The marriage is between Robert Charles Lampard & Eileen Louisa Leonard. Robert would be a widower and I think it's possible Eileen Louisa may be a widow.
Many thanks .. Lyn.
