Scotland / Cut off with a shilling!
« on: Friday 13 July 12 15:48 BST (UK) »
In an ancestor's will of 1862 he left his money etc to his wife and family, except his son from his first marriage to whom he left "one shilling as he has cost me more than the rest of my family". The boy was only 19, so I would love to know what he had done. Any ideas where I might look please? Our ancestor was a doctor in Glasgow, so what newspapers might I look up, or is there anywhere else I could investigate?
