Clare / Bruggy, Broggy, Brogie and other Derivations in Co. Clare.
« on: Monday 22 June 20 13:40 BST (UK)  »
I am endeavouring to connect the many familes with the various derivations of the name.  Many went to the U.S.A. and some to Australia and England.

There are a couple of family descendants who still reside in Derrymore and Dublin.

I have also created a page on Facebook if anyone researching these names would like to join us they are welcome.

« on: Tuesday 26 March 19 04:31 GMT (UK)  »
Johann Peter Marquard was a widower from Hohefeld, Baden, Germany who married Maria Dorothea Wirshing in Niklashousen on the 17 May 1803.

Johan Peter and Maria Dorothea would have two daughters, Eva Catharina in 1804 and Anna Dorothea in 1806.

I was hoping someone might have access to records that show Johann Peters
Birthdate,
Parents
1st Wife
Johann Peters Death.

Hoping to hear from someone as it would be much appreciated.

Australia / William Brophy and Mary White
« on: Sunday 01 January 17 11:30 GMT (UK)  »
The following news clips shows a William Brophy [ex constable] and Mary White, who were living together in Sydney.

I believe they had two children.  Michael Brophy born 1839 and Margaret born 1843.

Mary White married John Callinan in 1846.

I previously believed that William died in 1844, but the second newspaper clip took place in 1845.

So I am not sure if the relationship broke up prior to 1846.

I would like to find out more about William being a Constable if possible.

Also what happened to William Brophy.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / George Newton.
« on: Sunday 05 January 14 07:12 GMT (UK)  »
I have found the following children were the children of George Newton of Marsh Lane, Leeds, Yorkshire.

Elizabeth Newton [1773]
George Newton [1775]
John Newton [1778]
Rachel Newton [1781]
William Newton [1783]

I have a line down through John but am having difficulty trying to finding a connection to a George Newton who was their father.  Birth marriage and death.

If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

For Sale / Wanted / Events / The Crump Family of Cumberland England
« on: Saturday 26 May 12 06:39 BST (UK)  »
Our story begins in 1777 in Cumberland, England with the birth of Thomas Crump.  Thomas grew up in the vicinity of Hutton in the Forest and an association with the Fletcher Dynasty.  Thomas married Deborah Simpson in 1794 and together they would have six children, Margaret, Jane, Elizabeth, Robert, Simpson and William.  The book shares information of these families.  Simpson would marry Jane Coulthard in 1824 and they would have seven children, Robert, Joseph, Jane, Deborah, Elizabeth, Mary and Margaret.  The book shares information on these families as well.  For the main part we then follow the line of Simpson and Jane’s first son Robert [Bah Gum] Crump who married Mary Robson in Penrith, Cumberland in 1845.  Their four children Mary, Elizabeth, William and Robert are born in Penrith and then Robert takes his family to Australia in 1852 arriving through Port Adelaide.  Their daughter Jane is born in Adelaide in 1853 and by 1855 the family had moved to the goldfields of Forest Creek [Castlemaine] in Victoria.  The author’s great, great, grandfather, Simpson is born there that year.  Little Jane would drown there that year as well.  The family then moved over to the Kingower goldfields where Jane, Joseph, Mary Ann Josephine and Ede [Ada] were born.  By 1869 the family had then moved to Mathoura, N.S.W. where the last child John Robson was born in that year.  Robert and Mary would live out their lives there and many of the children stayed in the area.

Robert’s son Simpson would leave the district around 1877 and go to Cobar in Western New South Wales where he would marry Elizabeth Jane Eggleton and they would have three children in the area, Mary Ann Josephine, Elizabeth and Rose.  By 1884 Simpson would take his Carrying business and the family North into South West Queensland where their children Annie, Fanny, Scharlotte, Margaret, William, Ethel, Rebecca and Rose where born.  Their last son Simpson Robert was born in Bourke, New South Wales while on a visit there.  We then follow the children of Mary Ann Josephine [ Josephine Mary Anne] and Alfred Webster and their families.

I have spent numerous hours researching these families and wish to thank the many family members for their contributions.  For many, just sending for the birth, death and marriage certificate of one parent would cost $100.00, but I have been able to include the records and photos of Robert and Mary and their children along with a listing of their siblings down to the present generation.

If you would like to purchase a copy/copies of this historical research then email the author.
