Unwanted Certificates & Artefacts / Looking for Old Military Items WWI - Michael Higgins
« on: Wednesday 19 November 08 02:13 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,

I am looking for any old World Wwar I military items (like old letters or telegrams etc...) my great grandfather was in World War I in the Border Regiment, he was in the 7th Battalion, regiment number: 14912.

His name was Michael Higgins and he was a Private. He survived, with a wound, he recieved three medals, the 1914/15 Star, the British and the Victory medal. These would have went somewhere aswell, not sure where.

My mother has always wondered if there are any items that he had given/received during the war, like letters from home, telegrams, medals.

I have loads of cousins, that may have inherited these items, if there are any cousins out tere is regards to Michael Higgins I would love to hear from you. There are many that I have not met.

Also If there is anyone out there with any information regarding his time in World War I or if you have any items, please contact me I would love to hear from you.

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Ryan
