« on: Friday 12 January 24 03:09 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all,

I based on research I note that there where a number French immigrants that settled in Humansdorp's in the 1850's. notably the following persons:
Charles Christian Deschamps https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/G8F7-8MB
Auguste Herbin Deschamps https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/K2JH-69X

I seeking anyone that might have information on the origins of the these to individuals and if they where related. My main interest is Charles Christian Deschamps.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Dorset / Who is the father of George Hannason Palmer, Melbury Osmond (born ca 1804)
« on: Monday 05 January 09 22:13 GMT (UK)  »
On Familyserch.org George Hannason Palmer is listed as born in 1804 to Hannah or Evershot, Dorset.

I presume Hannah was Hannah Douch (born 1786) but she only married Richard Palmer in 1823. BUT Richard was married to Betty Guppy untill 1822 when she passed away. George was then 19.

Who was his father? Was he the son of Richard? Or someone else?

I can not find detailed birth or any death information, He married Mary Hodges in Cerne Abbas, Dorset, England on 19 May 1829.
