London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Tailors shop at 5 Well Street,London in 1925

Hi All
One of my Aunts, Elizabeth Beatrice Burt born 1903 Birmingham, found work as a Tailoress in London around 1925. She got married to a Portugese Merchant Seaman name Jose Luiz. Jose on marriage cert. gives fathers name as Rodriguez Luiz (deceased) occupation Tailor.
Elizabeth who had moved from family home in Birmingham gives address as 5 Well St,London. I have looked for this address on street view and it looks like a small shop front with rooms over the top.
Could this address have been a Tailors shop and she lived on premises. If so was the shop owner a member of the Luiz family?

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Lily Green b1895.d1936 Lancashire County Asylum

Hello
I had a great aunt Lily Green born 1895 Aston. I managed to trace her death to Lancashire County Asylum,Winwick,Warrington,Lancashire. Death pulmonary tuberculosis 24 Oct 1936.
According to family knowledge she never married but did live at some time with Walwyn or Walwin and had I believe 3 daughters.
Vera,Lily and Clarice.
Her address at time of death 7 John Street,Rusholme, Manchester. Stated as the widow of Ellis Green.
Ellis unknown probably fictional.
Is it possible to find out who was also living at this address in 1936 and before?

Census 1891 gives:-
Thomas G Hobbs 1854 Straw Goods Manufacturer. Born Woburn Sands Beds.
Elizabeth Hobbs 1853 Wife. Born Luton,Beds. Possibly nee Elizabeth Mayes.
Agnes E Hobbs 1878 Dau. Born Manchester Lancashire.
Florence N " 1879 Dau. Born Luton Beds
Harry G " 1881 Son Born Luton Beds
Gertrude L " 1884 Dau Born Luton Beds
Aubrey S " 1890 Son Born Luton Beds
Living Castle St. Luton.
I have found him in Cen1871 as an Apprentice.

Bedfordshire Completed Look ups / John Hobbs b1891 Woburn-Died WW1

Can someone help me find John Hobbs wife and maybe children.
John was born 1891 Woburn (or Toddington).
Father William Hobbs b1842 Harlington,Beds.
Mother Milly Rebecca Carr b1850 Flitwick,Beds.
Killed in WW1 29-6-1915.
Toddington Roll of Honour St George Church.
Records give :-
In memory of 2nd Lieutenant J Hobbs M.C.
!st Royal Scots of Luton Beds.
Died of wounds
June 29th 1915
CWGC give son of William and Milly Rebecca Hobbs,Luton.
Husband of Helen Coote Hobbs 60 Constantine Road Colchester.
I cannot find any record of this marriage.

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Sarah Mewis 1810

Can someone help me with locating Sarah Mewis B 4-4-1810 Castle Bromwich, baptised 23-9-1810. I am trying to confirm her marriage to a Thomas Fanthom in 1927 I believe also Castle Bromwich. Her father was James Mewis B1781 and I think that he may have gone to live with Sarah see Cen 1841 (James is shown as widower) where she is given as Sarah Johnson B1810 husband John Johnson B1801.
I am wondering whether Thomas Fanthom died sometime between 1820 and say 1841 but am unable to confirm this.
I would also like to know where and when she married John Johnson.

Canada Lookup Request / Canadian Don Fennah

Hello
Can someone help me to find when a Susan Matilda Fennah nee Herring emigrated to Canada .I have just found on CWGC a record showing she had a son Donald Clement Fennah age unknown who flew with the Canadian Airforce and was killed 10th April 1943 at Malta. I am sure that this is the Susan I am looking for. Details of his mother are given as Susan M Fennah Cobalt, Ontario.
Susan Herring b1883 was married in Aston 1903 to a Alfred Fennah b1882. I am aware of a son b1903 Alfred Fennah,but from there she disappeared.

Canada Lookup Request / Henry Herring 1866

Hi Everyone
I have been trying to trace a Henry A Herring born Wanborough Wiltshire England in
1866. I think he might have emigrated to Canada maybe Toronto. His brother William James did emigrate together with his wife in 1912. I have found that a Henry Herring died in Toronto 12th October 1901 but do not know how to confirm that this is the same man.

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Polly Hands wed Aston 1879

Can anyone help me with finding what happened to a Polly Hands after her marriage to a John Greenway in Mar Aston.Q 1879 I have been unable to find anything relating to her death. But I do know than John Greenway married an Emma Jane Green in 1896 again in Birmingham.
I have also had no joy finding her birth date.
Is the name Polly a shortened version of a girls name or is it a nickname?

Hi everyone I am tracing my wifes family history and when looking at Census 1851 for an Edward Price and family the address is given as Greens Buildings,St Thomas,Dudley.
Could this address have been a form of Workhouse for the dispossesed run by the church. Or mabe an almshouse.
Any one have an idea.
