I am trying to find out what became of my GG Grandmothers siblings in Edinburgh mid 1800's. She was WILHELMINA LAWSON and her parent's were GEORGE LAWSON, a shoemaker, (1807-1875) and JANET LAMONT (1808-1857). They lived in Fredrick Street/Rose Street/Thistle Street. Wilhelmina's siblings were as follows (all born Edinburgh) -
ELIZABETH LAWSON - born 09 Oct 1831, probably died before 1842 as not on any Census's.
ISABELLA LAWSON - born 24 Apr 1833, living in Rose Street in 1861, unable to find on later Census's.
GEORGE LAWSON - born 07 Feb 1835, Apprentice Shoemaker living Rose Street in 1851,unable to find on later Census's.
DANIEL LAMONT LAWSON - born19 Oct 1836, Apprentice Seedsman living Rose Street in 1851, unable to find on later Census's. ***UPDATE Have found Daniel. He moved to Carlisle then Manchester where he died in 1899***
MARY ANNE LAWSON - born 17 Jan 1839, Living in Hill Street with her father in 1871, unable to find on later Census's.
HENRY LAWSON - born 29 Sep 1841, Piano Tuner living Rose Street in 1861, unable to find on later Census's.
FREDERICK LAWSON - born 14 April 1845, Medical Student living Rose Street in 1861, unable to find on later Census's.
ROBERT LAWSON - born about 1847, living Rose Street in 1851, possibly died before 1862 as unable to find on later Census's. In fact he may well have died 1851/1852 as there is an OPR baptism of Mary Anne, Henry, Wilhelmina, Frederick and Janet on 24th March 1852, but no mention of Robert.
JANET LAWSON - born 28 Jul 1850, living Rose Street in 1861, unable to find on later Census's.
It is strange that they have all "disappeared". I cannot find any Emmigration Records for any of them on ancestry. Of course the females may have married. I am hoping someone may be able to find some Burial Records/Monumental Inscriptions for them?
Thanks,
Canisp
