i am trying to trace the ancestors of Godfrey B1899-1946 AND Olive LEE B 1900-1956 born in swansea. Godfrey married Selina CALLOW B1903-1976 place n/k. they had 3 children Jack 1931-1993. [name of living child removed] Violet 1935-1984 born in Swansea.
Parents of Godfrey and Olive were Joseph LEE B1858 in Llanelly and Elvira BURTON B1862-1933 place N/K. Both died in Caerphilly.
I think I have found the parents of Joseph LEE in the 1881 census RG11.PIECE 5461/39.PAGE 9. Father was Samual LEE B1810 in Hanburn Berkshire. Mother Mary LEE B1839 in Ross Hereford. Brother Nathaniel B 1856. Lewiza B1865. Laura B 1869. They were all basket makers, tinkers, hawkers or umbrella makers.
Can anyone help please. DAVE
