Hi all, some time ago a distant relative sent me the attached article about a county court case. We have since lost touch and I now find I do not know the name of the paper this appeared in or the date of the article.
Could anyone help with this please?

Hi everyone, I have a relative, Robert Jones, who died aged 58 on 5th Feb 1919 at 27 Norbury Street in Oldham. The death certificate is witnessed by the coroner - I wondered if anyone might be able to find details of any inquest at all into the death please?
Thanks, Luke

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Sheffield Inquests
« on: Wednesday 10 April 24 16:47 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,

I received two death certificates recently for John William Kirk (died 22nd September 1908 in Sheffield) & Sarah Ann Kirk (died 27th December 1935 in Sheffield) - both death certificates mention an inquest: J W Kirk, inquest held 24th Sept 1908 & S A Kirk, inquest held 30th Dec 1935.

Does anyone know where I might find any information about the inquests?

Thanks, Luke

Derbyshire / Kirk Grave
« on: Tuesday 02 April 24 23:29 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone,

I have just bought the death certificate for 2 of my married ancestors;

Elizabeth Kirk, died 25th August 1852 aged 42 years. Address: Court No 3 Hermitage Street, Ecclesall Brierlow.

John Kirk, died 6th November 1874 aged 66 years. Address: Gregory Road, Nether Mallam.

I was wondering if anyone can see a grave online which may be theirs?

Thanks, Luke

Lancashire / Egan missing grave
« on: Monday 01 April 24 11:56 BST (UK)  »
Hi all, I have posted about my Egan family before and had some great help. I now have both death certificates for my 3x Great Grandparents Michael and Ann Egan but I cannot find their grave. I wondered if anyone may be better at finding this online - I know its a needle in a haystack.

Ann Egan died at 11 Nelson Street, Failsworth aged 57 on 14th September 1903.
Michael Egan died at Culcheth Hall, Newton Heath aged 54 on 2nd February 1909.

I cannot find them in the big cemeteries nearby.

Thanks, Luke

Lancashire / Hogans of Bolton
« on: Monday 01 April 24 10:26 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone,

I am trying to trace a line of my tree. All I have to go on at the moment is the marriage certificate of my ancestor Elizabeth Hogan, it reads as follows:

Marriage solemnized at St Peter’s, in the district of Bolton, 11th July 1885
Groom: Mark Dale, bachelor
Age: 22 years
Profession: Striper and Grinder
Address: 21 Water Street, Bolton
Grooms father: Mark Dale
Profession: Gentleman
Bride: Elizabeth Hogan, spinster
Age: 22 years
Address: 25 Water Street, Bolton
Bride’s father: Thomas Hogan (DECEASED)
Profession: Shoe-Maker
Witnessed by: Nathanial & Sarah Fletcher

Can anyone help me further with Thomas Hogan and his family, I have all the later census etc for Elizabeth after her marriage but no other mention of the Hogan family and nothing previous to this for her.

Thanks, Luke
