Dublin / Patrick Curran, how to find his previous marraige
« on: Wednesday 27 February 19 21:00 GMT (UK)  »
Guys,

I am struggling to find a Patrick Curran's previous marriage.

He married Rose Garvey in 1931 in Dublin and on the marriage certificate it states he was a widower and he was roughly 39. He was born in 1893 in Trim and then is on the census records in Westport Mayo with his dad John Curran a Railway Gate keeper and Bridget Kelly his mother. His father died in 1903 and in 1911 he is on the census with his mother and family.

I cannot find a marriage for him were his wife dies... Patrick was a carpenter, if any one can find a John as a father and a Railway worker who would have been deceased it would be great..

I don't know if I am looking at Mayo or Dublin for this first marriage. I know it is after 1911 and his second marriage is in 1931. Where was he for 20 years.

Any help is appreciated.

Wexford / Annie Murphy Enniscorthy
« on: Wednesday 29 January 14 17:14 GMT (UK)  »
Hi All,

I have started to source info on my G Greatmother.

I know from what my nanny told me was that her mam was Annie Murphy and she was from Enniscorthy she told me stories of going down to visit them and hated it she found the countryside so lonely.

Now this is where it gets complicated.

Annie is buried in Glasnevin and on her details its date of Death 15th April age 1927 34, thus DOB 1893.
Annie Murphy death certificate states her age as 45 dying on the 15 April 1927, thus DOB 1882.
Now her marriage cert in 1912 states her age as 22 thus her DOB as 1890.

I know on her marriage cert her father is Arthur Murphy. I think this may be them on the census if i use her birth on the marraige cert. 1890....

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Wexford/Edermine/Ballybanoge/1786712/
and 1911 where she is not on the census
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Wexford/Enniscorthy_Rural/St__John_s/679514/

But god only knows... i dont know with which DOB to go with? any suggestions. This is using the assumption of the 1890 DOB.

I also looked for all annie/ann/anne with a father Arthur and this is only one i could come up with in enniscorthy or beside it..

I have a Daniel (Reg #9706) died in France in 7/6/1917 how do i find out if this is my Daniel?

As for John I cannot find him.. i have tried Ancestry and every other website and Irelands memorial records... but nothing... I need some help.

Any Help would be great... am i missing something  ::)

Dublin / Cannot find these women
« on: Thursday 02 August 12 11:47 BST (UK)  »
Okay here goes,

I am having problems trying to find three Wilson Women. I have very small informatin on each one.

Kathleen Caroline Wilson (nee Connolly) married John Robert Wilson (1893) and had one son William H Wilson. John Died in 1903 and I cannot find wind of Kathleen or William after this.  They had another Daughter Robina but she died.

  Wilson household - S.C.R.north side

Next up is Kathleen Wilson (b.1877) in the below census, as far as I know she never married. Her Sister is Elizabeth Wilson (b.1865 to William Wilson and Malvina Mills. I cannot find trace of Elizabeth and Kathleen after 1911.. I have heard from a family member that they use to go and visit him (Kathleen) in about 1930 and they apparently owned a Hotel in Dun Lagohaire but thats all i know.

Wilson household - upr Mount St.

Anyone help me trace these as i give up at this stage.
