My husband recently discovered his GI dad after 70 years. He is keen to find any records relating to him. He came from Greer and worked at the Coca Cola factory. He died in 2003 aged 82.
His name was Ethel Austin MOORE but was known as Harry.
The only details we have are from his obit published in Greenville News, 24 September 2003.
Can anyone help with birth marriage death registrations.

David Moore b c 1800 Herkimer NY, d 1830 Johnstown Montgomery NY. He married Jane Mills
They had 3 children :-
1. Jane Elizabeth who married Peter McVean
2. Washington b c 1820
3. John b c 1823
After Jane died , David married again to Catherine Zeeley[ Zeilley ]
They produce a son David Zeeley in 1830
Looking for any ancestors of any of the above

Dorset / Strangeways

An ancestor has the middle name of "Strangeways" and I have been told he was a "Strangeways Child". Has anyone heard of this ? He was born in Maiden Newton in 1896.

Antoni BIELAWSKI born 1890 died 1958 was the Mayor of TURUN at some stage.
He had 2 sons [ and a daughter who died young ]
One son Thadeus born 1918 went to Bristol England after WW11 and then emigrated to Australia with his wife and son. Thadeus has just died in Western Australia and the family would like to know more of his family history.

Francis Jesse STEELE b 1875 Willington Warwickshire was working at Charlton House as a gardener after his marriage to Sussanna BUDDEN in Frampton Dorset on 7 May 1901. Does anyone have access to Donhead St Mary 1901 [ 31 March 1901 ] census for a look up of Francis Steele.

Sussex Lookup Requests / Death Uckfield or Hastings East Sussex

George SMITH b 1833 in Broadwindsor Dorset was working as a domestic servant at Ticehust for a Jon Rae Campbell in 1881. I have found 2 deaths for George Smith in East Sussex, in 1904 in Uckfield and 1909 in Hastings. Does anyone have access to church records for those dates which might give more information.
