Fife / 1911 census kirkcaldy??
« on: Wednesday 06 April 11 17:30 BST (UK)  »
Hello back on the trail of the ever elusive g grandfather Peter Mclaren. Having logged onto scotlandspeople thinking i would have little to do but look for my g grandparents in the town of Kirkcaldy Fife i have failed to find them! They married in the town in 1910 and my g grandmother was from the town ( and all her family lived there) however on their marrage cert Peters profession was given as a commercial salesman. I have looked to all regions in scotland etc on scotlandspeople and so far spent  a small fortune lol but does anyone have any ideas or clues regarding these g grandparents at this particular time ?? any help welcome cheers Gill.

Roberts parents were Archibald Copland and Isabella Reid. Got them for Tarland, Bachory Ternan and Aboyne. Does anyone have ay info??

« on: Thursday 20 August 09 14:03 BST (UK)  »
Hi being fairly new to this forum forgive me if I sound a bit daft but any ideas on how to trace the inn/ hotel my gg grandfather Peter Mclaren (b. Logierait Perth) ran in Forfur Coupar Angus between 1881 and 1892? Previous to that the family are recorded in Newburgh Fife again as an innkeeper (1881) they stayed there only two yrs tho.

hello, im new to this forum. wonder if anyone can help me find out where and when my gg grandparents died. I have unsuccessfully tried thm on the census and after 1901 they seem to have disappeared! one of their sons was Peter Mclaren who settled in Kirkcaldy and lived on Dunniker rd. The gg grandparents were Peter and Christina and at one point they stayed in Newburgh(1881) but were from Logierait Perthshire. Any help would be fab. Thank you. ;D
