Armagh / BROWN in Tandragee
« on: Friday 16 October 09 20:51 BST (UK)  »
I am researching ancestors and descendants of Robert BROWN 1812-1893, a baker on Church Street in Tandragee, Armagh.  Wife: Ruth. Known children:
1. Prissella, b 1840 in Tandragee
2. John, b. ca. 1942 in Tandragee, d infancy.
3. Thomas, b 1844 in Tandragee, d 1873 in Tandragee
4. Robert, b 1850 in Tandragee, d 1873 in Tandragee
5. John, b 1854 in Tandragee, d 1914 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

They were Presbyterian and most of this family is buried in the Presbyterian Kirkyard in Tandragee.

So far as I have been able to determine they are the only family residing in Tandragee with the surname Brown in the 19th century.  I would be interested in hearing from anyone with any Brown connections or resources in Tandragee village or Ballymore parish.

A full description of this family can be found on my website here: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~rykbrown/brown.htm
