Hello,
My husband is a descendant of this family. We have traced the links back to the early 1700's.  Our link is from Thomas and Maria who emigrated to Australia in 1832 following their marriage.

Would love to hear from any other Cowlishaws' who link to the family and are willing to share info.

Hello,
I am researching my grandfathers' family who we believe came from the above town. We're not sure of correct spelling as he rarely shared info with his off-spring.
His name was John Mackenzie, born 1887.  He had a sister Ellis who we think was younger than him.
John fought in the 42nd Regiment of the Black Watch during the 1914-18 war.
He emigrated to NZ arriving in 1923/24 via Australia.

We would appreciate any assistance or direction with his family history, thanks.
