Does anyone have a street index for Lambeth  ?

Elizabeth and Emma turn up in 61 in Paddington

Thomas Street is on a marriage cert I have from 1868 for a Louisa Stanning.

I have had no luck with a name search for 1851  and was hoping someone could find the Thomas Street and tell me the residents !

I have a great uncle who was born in 1917 - when he was about 7 his father died and he was put into an orphange for about a year... he was so upset by this that he was actually sent home.
He had older siblings and his mother was still alive but at the time I think it was more a case of money and looking after a child with no father around ( hope that makes sense ! )............
My problem is finding out about the orphanage. All I've been told is that he was ' sent to the Post Office Orphanage in Ingatestone'.......his Father and Grandfather both worked for the Post Office.....

Does anyone know of this orphanage ? .... Esta

I can't find my other thread ( sorry) but am still trying to find my Stan(n)ing family on the 1851 census.

Other possible address have kindly been checked for me. This morning I got the birth cert for Ellen born April 1851. I realise she might not actually be on the census but  as her mother was pregnant I hoping they my be at the address listed.

1 Spencer Place - North Brixton.

Alfred T Rose 1 Clerkenwell, Middlesex, England Niece Son Lambeth London
Herbert A Rose 3 months Lambeth, Surrey, England Niece Son Lambeth London
Lucy E Rose 24 Lambeth, Surrey, England Niece Lambeth London
Arthur Starring 10 Lambeth, Surrey, England Son Lambeth London
John Stanning 48 Croydon, Surrey, England Head Lambeth London
Rose Stanning 7 Lambeth, Surrey, England Daughter Lambeth London

56 Clayton Street -  Johns occupations is Wheelwright

I also have a birth cert. for another of Johns son Edward John Sta(n)ning who parents were John Stan(n)ing and Lucy Rose. Born 1846.

The address on the cert is 14 Clayton Street.

I was wondering if anyone is able to look at Clayton Street in 1861 and 1851 and see if they can find John Stan(n)ing and his family.

Could someone please look on the 1851 census for the name BORLEY.

On 1851 for Pakenham - I have a Charlotte Brook and her family and having just found out her maiden name I was just wondering if she might have family in the same area.

I have yet to find anything out about her family and was just looking for an idea of who they might be . On other census she is down as being born in Pakenham or Rougham in about 1820/21

Would someone please be able to help me with a census look-up in 1851 for BROOK in Rougham / Pakenham.

I have traced this family from 1901 back to 1861 census and everytime I find more children and grandchildren !........ ???

from 1861 census

Robert Brook 42
Charlotte Brook 41
Margarett Brook 18
John Brook 16
Edward 11
Mary Ann 9 ( or 11 )

There were other children who wouldn't be in 1851.

I would like to find them in 1851, and 1841 aswell, to hopefully seperate the children from the grandchildren and eventually have some idea of when the parents might have married.
