That could be him as well. I remember having 5 World War One Records. 2 of the P.E.Jones guy and 3 of George R. Hickling. One was in the South Notts Regiment and the other was in the Kings Royal Rifle. If only i could remember where i put those medals!!!

Edit: I don't even know who P.E. Jones is either, i know his first name is Percy but don't know how or if he's related.

Hello, yes that is indeed my Aunt's Deaths Record and they're marriage record. I've just tumbled around my bedroom trying to find Uncle George's Medals but due to just cleaning i can't locate them! So its time to test my Memory.

I believe my Uncle's regiment was the Kings Royal Rifles and his Regiment number was 4088. He served in this regiment during World War I.

Edit: George Robert? Well that could definitely be here! that would be a possibility.

Edit 2: Just typed in the regiment information about George into ancestry and it seems to have come up with a George R Hickling so i guess i was correct but can't view it due to having no membership :(

Hi there,

I'm fairly new to this website so apologize if i've put this topic in the completely wrong place but i found this section to be ok.

I'm looking for my Aunt and Uncle, there names were George and Edith Hickling. He was a war hero and died many years before my Aunt Edith i don't even know when. Ever since my Grandfather died these questions have never been answered so i'm at a loose end but i'm determined to find answers. I know that's my Auntie Edith was buried on top of George  :) she died in the Sept 1979.

Now cutting to the chase, i'm looking for where they were buried, my Grandma just recently died so she can't tell me, my Aunt can't remember, my dad says Wilford Hill and my uncle says Bulwell Cemetery. Me and my father are known to not have the best of memories so we're saying Bulwell is the one. I was hoping if anyone knew of a contact email to find out if they are there and if so where? I was also wondering if anyone had a map of the site so i could at least go and have a wonder around to try and find them.

Can anyone be of help?

Katie.
