Completed Census Requests / 1861-71 Census lookup-Lancs and Chesh
« on: Saturday 03 April 04 07:42 BST (UK)  »
Hello, :D Could some one do lookups for Lancashire and Cheshire please?  Looking for families that could have been in either Lancashire or Cheshire.
  In  1851 they were at 5 Parkgate Rd Everwood Cottage and 6 Parkgate Rd, Mollington Cheshire.
  John LANGFORD  age 21-22 b.1830 Gt.Saughall Chesh
  Ann LANGFORD  (his mother) age 66 ish b. Lt.Saughall
  Levi LANGFORD  (his nephew) age 12ish b.1837-8 Liverpool
  and next door:
  Robert LANGFORD age 33ish b.1818 Saughall
  Hannah LANGFORD
  In 1881 the first family John LANGFORD, son John L LANGFORD age 20-21,  had moved to 151 Wavertree Rd West Derby, but the second family--Robert LANGFORD,  with a different wife, Eleanor and 2 small children (Enoch and Eleanor) were still at 6 Parkgate Rd Mollington.
    So between 1851 and 1881 I  don't know where they were.  John L LANGFORD was born in 1860 in Mollington Cheshire and brother Thomas born 1858 in Cheshire. Lost track of their mother Elizabeth LLOYD LANGFORD after the birth of John L LANGFORD. Can't find her in the 1881 census or after, can't find record of her death.... Also lost track of and can't find what happend to Levi LANGFORD-- I think son of Robert LANGFORD. Hoping SKS can't help me out.... Many thanks in advance.

Hi ,
         I don't have the death cert as yet, decided to send for last will and testament instead before sending for death cert. Will just says Thomas Langford of Mollington, Shoemaker, he died 9th June 1847. In a search of the Cheshire BMD I think I found his death, Thomas Langford age 60 Sub District Chester Cathedral, Register's at Cheshire West   CAT/10/20.   Possible informant could have been his wife Ann, or either son Robert or John. I'm sorry I don't have more. In the 1851 census his wife/widow and son John were living at 5 Parkgate St "Everwood Cottage", and living next door, John's brother Robert and wife. Hope this is of some help.  Thank you.

Hello, ::)
   I am researching my LANGFORD , LLOYD  lines. I have a Thomas LANGFORD shoemaker b.circa 1787 in Cheshire died 1847 in Mollington, ( have his last will and testament),  his children all born in either Saughall and/or  Mollington. LLOYD not sure yet ???, but somewhere in Cheshire I have an Elizabeth LLOYD b.circa 1836ish, to a Thomas LLOYD a brewer, don't have her mother as yet.. Elizabeth LLOYD married John LANGFORD in 1855 in Chester. (Have marriage cert). LANGFORD families lived in the Gt.Saughall, Gt.Mollington areas,(early 1800's --1851),  and later in Ellesmere Port and Liverpool Lancashire.
   Cheers! C   :)
