Thanks for replying,

He is Edward Samuel Winter.

The WW1 record I found was for an Edward Winter. Military number 89114 who was in the RFA and RHA in 19/8/1914-24/1/1919 and also 12/4/21-15/7/21. This is the one with the different siblings and fathers name.

Hi everyone,

So excited to have come accross this website, been hunting on my own for months and reaches a dead end.

Please help!!

The information I have:

Name: Edward Samuel Winter
Born: 01/09/1892
Parents: Caroline and Charles
Siblings: Charles, Elizabeth, Edward, Lionel and Frederick
I have the 1901 and 1911 census'  showing he was living in Gillingham Kent.
He was married to a Lily Parnel(l) in 1917 in Marylebone. On the wedding certificate it lists him as being a private RE (RA??) living on board a HMS in France.
Died: Sept 1977

I am trying to find any further information, especially his military records. I did chase a dead end for ages of a VERY similar mans records, however his siblings and father have diifferent names. Id like any information about what he was doing between census'. What his occupation as an adult is etc. I do not have any relatives I am able to ask.

Many thanks,
Shosh
