Hi again,
Follow up from my last message where i had given the following info:-
Bernard Hughes married Mary Reneghan 3.9.1872 in Keady RC chapel. On the marriage cert it said PETER HUGHES (Kilkreevey Otra) was Bernards father - deceased at time of wedding. Marys father was CHARLES RENAGHAN from Drumnahavil Derrynoose.
I tried to get info on PETER HUGHES by checking Griffiths valuation but no record. He was dead before 1901 Census so no point checking it. In Cardinal O Fiaich Library someone checked marriage and baptismal certs but none seemed relevant. Any ideas about how i could find anything about him or his family?
I tried the 1901 Census for CHARLES RENAGHAN Drumnahavil. Found 9 different Head of Household christian names but no Charles. Only a 13yr old Charles. Again, what would be the best avenue to pursue now to get Renaghan family details? Thanks. Norh
