I have 2 brothers who arrived at Port Adelaide with their families and about whom I can find nothing further. I'd be really grateful for any information on them. They are:
JAMES & JANET DOBBIE - both 27 her maiden name Vickers, he a coal miner - and sons JAMES (5) & WILLIAM (3) who arrived 9 Oct 1852 on the Medina,
THOMAS & MARGARET - both 21 her maiden name Fraser, he a miner - and their infant son DAVID who arrived 9 Jan 1853 on thr Macedon.
They both came from Midlothian Scotland.

Yes I have tried to find a ship's record - that's my problem I can't find any trace. I have scoured the Ellis Island website for any and every variation! Besides records don't start there until 1892 and he could well have travelled in 1891.
I have also explored the possibility of him being near his brother but again no luck. I have that family on all censuses from 1900 to 1930 but Henry and wife don't show. There had been a family argument so it's not surprising really.
This is why I have appealed - I've hit a brick wall!

Trying to find out who was living at "The Knoll" in Nomansland, Wilts in the 1920/30's. I believe one of the inhabitants was called "Renee".

US Lookup Requests / Minns Henry and Rachel New York?

Henry Benjamin Royall Minns (born Bristol 1860) married Rachel Copping in 1883. In 1891 they were living with his sister in Battersea. There were no children.
Strong family tradition says that they emigrated to the US but I have been unable to find any evidence of them either arriving or being there. Certainly his younger brother John emigrated with his wife and family and they settled in New York and then Puerto Rico.
Can anyone help me find this couple please?
