Dublin / Re: Boyle family Dublin

Thank you all for your information.   George Fowler was married twice,   Jemima died in Northern Ireland.  I managed to get a copy of Edith and John's headstone in Mount Jerome cemetery, but their names are the only ones mentioned, which might mean that the family moved away.

I have been told that Edith's father was left a farm in Co Down and came from USA to Northern Ireland about 1902 with his family.  I think John may have been from Dublin and they may have married in Dublin.  unfortunately I do not know where they lived in Dublin.   Edith was a dressmaker

I am trying to get information on my great aunt Edith Boyle (nee Fowler) born on the 1 January 1895 in New york.  She married John (jack) Boyle and they lived in Dublin.  They are both buried in Mount Jerome Cemetery Dublin.   Edith died on the 9 January 1947.  They had three children Eric, Jackie and Mildred.   I think Jackie married a Kitty and Mildred married someone called Sullivan and they emigrated to Australia.

Armagh / Re: McCann and McShane

Unfortunately I do not have much information on Catherine, just her marriage certificate which lists her father as Matthew a farmer.  Like you I believe the McCann's to be Roman
Catholics and that is why the married in the Registars Office.  No one in the family ever talked about the McCann side of the family.  I also have the original will from Francis that gives Mary Ann's name, so she may have married .  Catherine was born about 1861.

regards

I have a Catherine McCann who married Francis Grayson (also spelling Gracey) on 19 April 1886 at Registrars office Lurgan.  Catherine father was given as Matthew and she had a sister's Mary Ann and Ellen.  Mary Ann lived with Francis and Catherine and was named in Francis's  will, so I asume that she never married. Her residence was given as silverwood, Parish of Shankill, Lurgan.

Not sure if this is the one you are looking for.

Thank you all for your information.

I have the newspaper cutting for Thomas's death and can not understand what happened to all his family, as Albert is the only one mentioned.

Thomas married Martha Fulton and I have the wedding photograph, but she must have died before him.
