Your original query was a while ago but if you are still interested, I have discovered an obituary for Mary Anne Coote from the Kentish Times of 13th January 1939, found in "Some People of West Wickham" by Joyce Walker, which has some valuable background information:
"We regret to announce the death of Mrs. Mary Anne Coote, of White Gate Farm, West Wickham, who passed away in her 84th year. She was well known & highly respected in the village. Mrs. Coote was the widow of Mr. George Coote, a well-known farmer of Wickham, who died in 1911. She had been associated with the village for 62 years. She came of a famous farming family in Somerset, where her people kept the Home Farm, Norton St. Phillips, and also the Old George Inn, a tavern which belonged to a Duke of Monmouth. George Coote, whom she married, came of a family whose records show that they have been settled in West Wickham since 1713."
Much more information about this family could be found from local sources if you are interested?
