Canada Lookup Request / From Scotland to Canada
« on: Saturday 01 October 11 23:06 BST (UK)  »
HI,
Any help advice will be appreciated; I have a lot to ask! :)

I have just linked ancestors to Canada. Through My 2xgrandfather Philip Read. I don’t no where to start as I have not really searched out of Scotland? I would like to locate certificates, find out where they stayed, where they were buried, and if any head stones are there. Can anyone help or point me in the right way?

Thank you

Brick wall now  :(

John was alive for his son,s 1st marriage (James mcinnes & Annie Rodger) 1867 But not for his 2ND Marriage (James mcinnes & Isabella Arthur) 1872

Located a good match i thought for John McInnes's Death 1871 , I hoped it would say widower of Christina Scott, to confirm sadly it is blank as is the parents  .

he  died poorhouse Craiglockhart , parish Colinton . Could this be the same one James may have been ?

 :)

Hi Monical

I don,t think he did have his children with him, I have allocated another child Thomas Mcinnes in Aberdeenshire 1851 (lodger)

Thanks :)

Thanks  CaroleW

With William being a lodger i took a  look over all certificates .I'm not convinced it is my family in 1851 .I have found a death certificate for Christina she died DEC 1845 St Cuthberts ??? so can't be her.
