 Hello Dawn,
Do not have any info on  Thomas after his children were placed in Kingston workhouse.
Only know he was a sailor so presume he must have died at sea,as there are no refs to him after this time. Best Wishes Carole oh.

Hello is there any rootschatters out there ,

I am looking for death info for my GGGrandfather Thomas Nettlefold, b, approx. 1795-1805 he was a sailor, circa 1841-1861 . He was probably born in Surrey ,but there is also a possibility could be Alverstoke Hampshire, that is where he married an Amelia Blake in 1828.

I would be very grateful, for any info regarding his death. Thank you Carole oh.

The Thomas born in Portsmouth could possibly be him, but there is no way of proving it . I will get onto Surrey History Centre ,see if they can come up with anything. Thankyou Jane.

 Hi Jane ,
Will definitely give Surrey a try. I do have the marriage cert of my ggrandparents, just says Thomas was a sailor. I believe sometimes even though the father was deceased they don't always state that. Many thanks Jane for all your replies, much appreciated, best wishes Carole.

Hi Jane,
Yes that is the family, don't know what happened to Thomas after Amelia's death.
I would also love to know more on his parentage, I am thinking of contacting the records office at Surrey ,to see if they can give me any info. I always thought young Thomas was born in Alverstoke,as this is what is stated in Family Search, but apparently he was born in Surrey. I can only assume because he was a sailor,he was stationed in Hampshire and met Amelia there, she was from Portsea. Kind Regards Carole
