Township of Pit House Coxhoe

Anthony Knox, head, married, aged 31, Occ. Coalminer, born Durham Ivert***
Mary Knox, wife, married, aged 32, born Durham Shincliffe
William, son, aged 10, born Durham Shear Burn (Sherburn)
Margaret, dau, aged 2, born same as Father
James, son, aged 4, born same as father
Fenwick?, son, aged 2, born same as father

Now I cannot find this family on ancestry either...
But its not very well written... and it is on my set of 1851 disks..

If I could remember how to save from the disk. I would have kept the image..

Looking at the rest of the folios.. the ages are all kept in order.. so there's possibly a mistake with Margaret's age.. defo reads 2

Hi Duke

I have found during my research that a lot of my Methodists... pre 1840.... were actually baptised in C of E Churches.... just because there were no Methodist Churches around at that time...  or rather not a lot of Methodist Churches....

It just might be an idea to check the C of E.....
