James Lee, DOB 23/01/1829 in Stockport - Married Elizabeth Mace 08/04/1849 Stockport.
James possible first policeman in stockport 1851.

Great uncle believed to have been named Chermas Roberts at birth but later known as Thornley ?? DOB 1891 Milstone Cottage, Marsdon Yorkshire but Unable to locate Birth Cert on any searches I've made. unknown date of death
He lived in Wellington rd sth stockport in 1901.
when i met him mid 1960's-70,s he lived in hazel grove, his father was Shem Roberts (1857-1945)

have obtained info on thornley and confirmed as being correct - would still like any info on james lee
