Hi Gadget,

Yes I know what you mean about the possible combinations with William Hughes, thats why I thought I might try a posting to see if I could get another idea.

Re his death I don't have a death certificate, I got the information from a web page relating to the village of Derwenlas

Could anyone help me with trying to find out where Albert James Smith was born?
This is the information I have,
Albert James Smith married Ada Greenwood on the 2 November 1906 at the Register Office, West Derby, Liverpool,  his age listed on the Wedding Certificate was 29, Ada's age listed as 23, Albert's occupation listed as Shop Porter.
Albert's father name is listed as William Charles Smith, deceased, occupation Stone Mason.
I have tried different combinations checking the census's but have not been able to resolve his birth place or any other background information.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Llwyd,

Thanks for your interest and search.

I have no idea what his archived papers were about (1847-1863) but maybe I should pursue these and hopefully turn up something.

Hello,

I have no further information on Hugh past the 1851 census, I think part of the 1861 census was destroyed.
The reason I put down 1847-1863 this was a date span that was given for the archiving of his papers. I don't know if 1863 was the year he passed away.

Hugh Hughes -Solicitor-Mold, 1847 to 1863.

He was born in St.Asaph February 1817, I am trying to find out the place and year of his death. I have him listed in the 1851 census for Mold as being a Clerk at the County Court.
Any information would be most welcome. Thanks.

Could anyone please give me some guidance in trying to find Hugh Hughes and family in possibly the 1851 and 1861 census, this is the information I have.

Hugh Hughes  born St Asaph 1817
Elizabeth Hughes  wife, born St Asaph 1813
Hugh Thomas Hughes  born St Asaph 1840
David Hughes  born St Asaph 1843
Jane Ellen  born St Asaph 1845
Sarah Anne  born St Asaph 1847

Hugh Hughes was still alive in 1861 (on son Hugh Thomas's marriage license)

I have located my ggranfather Hugh Thomas Hughes in the 1861 census for Liverpool

Is it possible for them to have not be enumerated?
