The IGI has the following bapts for children of William & Rebecca, may not all be theirs, but are possibilities -
Abraham 1837 (b 1835) Weslyan, Newport Pagnall, Bucks
David 1837 (b1833)          ditto
William 1830                      ditto
Rebecca 1835 Donington Wood Shrops
Trinnet 1841 St georges, reading Berks
George 1830 New Windsor berks
Emma 1832        ditto
Frederick 1843 Walton on Thames Surrey

I'd be interested in any info you have on the Mills families. I don't have any children for Job & Phoebe. Do you know who his parents were? or when he & Phoebe married?

They seem to have a lot of connections with the Penfolds which I haven't figured out either.

Census refs as follows -

1841 HO107/59 Fol 3 p1
1851 No record found
1861 RG9/373 Fol 22 pp16 & 17

I have refs for Phoebe Mills nee Lane (because of her marr to Job Mills) in later censuses.

I think she died in Mar 1892 age 53 in Croyden. Baptised Phebe Lane 22 Apr 1838 Bisham Berks par William Lane & Rebecca (IGI). A parent search under William Lane & Rebecca brings up quite a few likely bapts of children.

Thanks for that - I'll certainly do as you say. I'm nowhere near Leeds either, so it's great I can do it online. Thanks for replying

Thanks anyway

Normally, after 1813 the baptism records include occupation of father. Is St Peters different?

Wiltshire Lookup Requests / Re: MILLS Potterne etc

Is this the right place to ask for checking of original records? or is some of this info online?
I don't seem to get much response to some of my requests so far (exc for leicestershire where Mike is a top star!!), & I'm wondering if maybe there is something I can find out myself without going to Wiltshire

Wiltshire Lookup Requests / MILLS Potterne etc
« on: Tuesday 11 September 07 20:35 BST (UK)  »
I'd be really grateful if someone is able to check the orig parish registers for the following for me - I need the extra info such as occupation etc.

Eliza Shepherd 26 Feb 1815 Preshute
Charlotte Mills 1 feb 1807 Stanton-St Quintin
Matthew Mills 8 Mar 1812 Shalbourne
Thomas Mills 29 Aug 1813 Etchilhampton
Lejustice Mills 23 Jun 1811 Potterne

I'm hoping the Father Thomas is a Tinman or traveller/gypsy
I don't know how else I am going to check on them, as Wiltshire is a long way from where I live
