If you don't have it, his baptism is on FindMyPast.

His record in FindMyPast's "Britain, Merchant Seamen, 1918-1941" has his photograph (if it's the same Cyril Keeley) it says born London 29 July 1894.

Index gives year as 1918 (would have to be at the earliest, I would have thought, for a photo?)
Is there no more info?

Just: Father British. Photo dated 28. 5. 20

My gggrandad arthur smith was born dec 1868 in Bradford the only record I can find is an Arthur Smith born abt 1869. would this be him as they might not have recorded the birth till the Jan. He died houghton le spring 1949. If this was the case I might have found his mum and dad. james smith and margaret.

A Dec birth would most likely be registered the following Jan, parents had 6 weeks after birth to register.

So many variations of the surname spelling, but Jeremiah and Patrick's are the same on the GRO.

I think this could be young Patrick in prison in 1851.   HO107; Piece: 2363; Folio: 495; Page: 23

Use the census reference to find the record as Ancestry has messed up with the name search.

Hi BAC3,

If I have some free time later I'll try to help with the Marr connection.
