Viktora,

I searched the family on the 1911 Canadian Census on the Automated Genealogy and Ancestry sites.

I think you're right, carol8353.

On a passenger list, I found a Lilian Wilde, age 46, occupation Accountant sailing from Montreal to Liverpool aboard the Duchess of Bedford, arriving July 8, 1939.  Destination address in the UK was 35 Owen Rd., Wolverhampton.  Possibly the daughter?

The occupation for John Henry Wilde is comptable which means accounting in English.

The entry for John is not shown on the part you posted.  It is the line above.

Son Thomas (16) is a plumber and Son Frederick (15) is a messenger.  I'm having difficulty making out the occupation of daughter Lillian (18).

I think you can download music off of Spotify onto a USB/mp3 stick.  I've never done it but you can google for instructions.

Good luck.

Canada Lookup Request / Re: Massey

Sandra,

Perhaps that is possible and certainly worthwhile for Sue to inquire about with BC Vital Statistics.  I believe the Vital Stats office is in Victoria so would be a ferry ride away for a volunteer in Vancouver.  There is an email address on the link that I provided in my previous post.

I don't know of any way a RAOGK volunteer could access birth certificates in British Columbia prior to 1904.  These records are restricted.

Next of kin with proof of death may be able to request a copy from BC Vital Statistics.  The current cost of birth certificates in BC is $27.  It may be worth emailing to inquire.  https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/life-events/births-adoptions/births/birth-certificates

Do you have his death registration or certificate?  Is the birth date and place of birth included on this document?

My late husband grew up in the Ituna, SK district and I do remember hearing the names Thompson and Martin in the area.

Good luck with your research.
