So I wonder what to make of the information I've found on Unity and Joseph Carlin/Carland. The ages at death stated are wonky if they married in 1855. It is definitely the right couple. But her age at death in 1898 is given as 52 and his age at death in 1902 is given as 60. So obviously there is something wrong there which doesn't help me at all to pinpoint the births of either.

Daniel Lynch, Unity's father, died in 1893 and age was given as 84 which seems quite right. I guess it is quite common for ages to be wrong but this seems quite out. ::)

Yes dathai that's the very ones. Unity and Joseph's children all ended up in Greenock and then some moved onto Australia/Canada.

So then I find the death of Unity's husband Joseph in 1902. Can't quite make out the address -
wonder if anyone can read that? thanks

Also can anyone clarify for me...with regard to the info on these entries....would the official death certificate add anything further? Quite sure in Scotland we get mother and father's name on there. Is that not the case in Ireland. Sorry for the stupid questions not used to Irish records.
