There's an Ancestry tree where someone's done some quite comprehensive research & has Nathaniel born St. Nicholas Leics. to Nathaniel & Mary Heathcote.
It looks like the tree owner has sent away for the fiches & gives this ref.
St Nicholas Leics.
Batch no. BO 1917-7
GS film no. 592564
Ref. IDp 221 n 1767
The NBI has Nathaniel's death in 1836 Leics. St. Mary's aged 49 (b.1787)
There's also a Nathaniel Perkins death in 1839 Leics. Whetstone aged 84 (b.1755)
There's a Christening for a Nathaniel Perkins Dec. 1755 Whetstone parents Joseph & Elizabeth
There's a marriage for a Nathaniel Perkins 1781 Countesthorpe Leics. = Mary Heathcote.
I can't see any children for this couple but it looks like someone made the assumption.
Found this a bit confusing to unravel but these are my findings so far:
1. Helen bp.1835 appears to be the illegitimate daughter of a Hannah Perkins. Nathaniel still alive then. In 1841 an Ellen Perkins living with an Elizabeth Gray and family in St. Margaret's, Leicester. Don't think she belonged to Nathaniel and Hannah.
2. Unless you have details from the marriage certificate to prove otherwise, I don't believe it was the daughter of Nathaniel who married Luke Fellows. I believe she was the daughter of James. James and his family all born Market Harborough, not in Leicester, and Luke's wife Harriet is born Market Harborough, not Leicester.
3. Nathaniel Perkins bc.1787, bur.22/3/1836 Leicester.
