It would be the same person.

Small Heath came under reg district of Aston at one time.

Many of my Relatives were born in Small Heath- So have come across the same thing.

Aston does appear to be on the other side of the city to Small Heath,
 but there is a short cut via Watery Lane & Lawley Street that bypasses Birmingham City Center.

During lean times , many would walk this route to work .
