Please could anyone find the marriage of John (possibly Marks) Hiscock and Sarah Ann Smith at St. Mark's, Kennington? It took place on the 17/04/1834. We are particularly keen to find out any details from the register and in particular, John's parentage and where he was from.

Many thanks,

Sarah

Thanks to everyone for the extremely helpful information, whic has helped us to add several generations onto the Salter family.

We are sure that our Susannah was Susannah Ham, so we may have a tie up with you, Aussie Possum. We'll have a look at the Luppitt records.

Many thanks,

Hi Sue,

Many thanks for your help. We are trying to trace descendants of this family in particular, since we are descended from another child of John and Sarah Ann Hiscock.

Best wishes,
Sarah and Jenny.

We are looking for info about Beatrice Eleanor Greig, nee Hiscock, born 24/12/1875, in Brixton. She married Robert Ferguson Greig in 1900, in West Ham. Robert was born c. 1878 in Limehouse. In the 1901 census they are living at 50 Blenheim Rd, Walthamstow. Robert is a grocer and produce merchant. Their last known address was 91 Dagenham Rd, Romford, Essex, probably sometime after 1922.

Thanks very much,

Sarah and Jenny

We are looking for the marriage of Lillie Elllen Crowhurst to a Mr. R. Sotiris, sometime after 1901. Lillie was born in 06/03/1865, in Lambeth. She married Thomas Owen Crowhurst in 18/08/1881 at St Peter's Church Brighton. He was a printer at the time, but is listed on the 1891 census as a publican of the Cavendish Arms, Regent St., Brighton. They had three children - Lillie 1882(Brighton), Owen 1884 (Brighton) and George 1888 (Deptford). By 1901, Lillie was a boarding house keeper, at 30 Torrens Rd, Lambeth, described as married, but there is no sign of Thomas. A Mrs. Lillie Sotiris appears living in 12 Streaham Pl., Brixton sometime after 1914 and later still in Leytonstone, with her widwed mother (Sarah Ann Hiscock). We are 99% sure that Lillie Crowhurst and Lillie Sotiris are the same person, but we cannot find a death for Thomas Crowhurst or a marriage to Mr. R. Sotiris.

Please help!
Thanks,

Sarah and Jenny
