Ireland / Re: LDS Catholic Church Records - which parish?

I see the marriage has been transcribed as Andy Duggan to Margaret Coyle in 1835 in Drumgoon - I can't see that Terence was baptised in that parish and he never names his place of birth in the Scotland censuses.

Hello!

What a great forum this is!

Many thanks indeed for your time and effort in helping me with this one.  It is indeed the Mary who's father was Andrew and mother Margaret Coyle I was looking for.  They also had a son Terence a few years later but I can find no reference for that one at all.

Later Andrew, Terence and Mary are in Scotland and Andrew remarried in 1846.  Presumably they left because of the famine.

Thanks again for the assistance

Ashley

Ireland / LDS Catholic Church Records - which parish?
« on: Tuesday 28 February 23 15:21 GMT (UK)  »
Hello there!
I have found a record of interest in on the LDS site amongst its Irish Cathilic Parish Records, but I have no idea where in Ireland it took place.  Does anyone know how to work out which parish it is from the citation?

The reference is:
"Ireland, Catholic Parish Registers, 1740-1900", database, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:68PJ-5TZ2 : 17 March 2022), Mary Biggens, 1837.

Any help you can provide will be very welcome

Thank you!

Hello there

I have been going through the Protestation Return looking to see if my Jobling/Jopling ancestors were there and there are three where I am unsure of the first names.  If anyone can help I'd be very grateful

Thanks in advance

Cheshire / Re: Samuel Dutton - where is he?

Thank you for the corrected burial.

I'm not picking up anything on a search in Staffordshire for the 1861 census.

Cheshire / Samuel Dutton - where is he?
« on: Wednesday 14 July 21 18:01 BST (UK)  »
Hello there

Samuel Dutton was baptised 1797 in Tarvin and married a Frances Lunde in Barrow in 1819.  They had 10 children.  Samuel was a shoemaker.

I can find them in 1841 and 1851 in Barrow with various children and relatives, in the latter their sons Ralph, Thomas and George are at home.

There is a possible burial in Tarvin for Frances in 1855 (though the age given is 65 when she would have been closer to 57) and there is one there in 1887 which appears to be Samuel, though the age given is 87 when he would have been 90.

Can anyone find Samuel, and possibly Frances if the burial is incorrect, in 1861, 1871 or 1881?

Many thanks in advance for your help

Essex / Great Chesterford Burials 1729

Hello there

I have found two burials both in 1729 for a John Amy and his son Robert, but without exact dates on the NBI, but I cannot find the same burials on the Essex Burial Index on FindMyPast.

Can anyone please check to see if they have the exact dates, and if there is any indication that the deaths were in any way linked?

Many thanks in advance!
