Hi all, Don't get upset as you have confirmed details already posted on the initial request.
I am really interested as to where 'chempat' found the info on mmn Lockett/Lockitt, and are there any more children and details of this 'marriage'.
Thanks again,
Mel C

Hi All,
All entries are true up to now.
New info - Edward - 7 - adopted son, will try and trace...
New info regarding Lockett. Not sure how relevant yet.
cannot find birth of Maud. Could Maud be a middle name?

Hi, Once again I need some help. I have found a family link and wondered if anyone can put the family together. Have a Cartwright [Mary ELLEN] neice found with George b1850 and Kate Weaver & daughter Maud in Stoke census 1891. Am trying to connect Hannah Cartwright nee Weaver 1855 Ipstones with George but currently to no avail. Hannah quotes father as Joseph on her marriage cert. but they did not always tell the truth. Can you link Hannah and George and provide/confirm parents names. Many thanks Mel C

Hi,
The pub has since been turned into a private residence.
Passed that way in August 2014 looking for boundary road.
Found by googling...
"The pub closed in 2008 and was purhased by A P Webb Contractors Ltd whose premises backed onto the pub car park. Planning permission was granted for conversion to a dwelling and an extension to time of permission granted in November 2012. The property was eventually converted to resdential use in late 2013."
Absolutely 'Nothing' left to identify as a former Public House!!

Hi chrishil1,
I see from another post you have been in contact with Dave.
Thanks for posting the Hillman 'Tree'.
It has managed to put into place some of the names I have kept coming across but not been able to associate with each other.
Many thanks,
Mel

Hi chrishil1,
I haven't done a great deal of research on the Hillman side of the family.
My research has been mainly on the Cartwright side.
A quick look finds:-
Richard married Margaret 1st May 1786 Stafford

Children:-
James Hillman
Christening Date   03 Dec 1786
Christening Place   SAINT MARY,STAFFORD,STAFFORD,ENGLAND
Birth Date   27 Nov 1786

John Hillman
Christening Date   18 Mar 1792
Christening Place   SAINT MARY,STAFFORD,STAFFORD,ENGLAND

Thomas Hillman
Christening Date   21 Oct 1798
Christening Place   SAINT MARY,STAFFORD,STAFFORD,ENGLAND
Birth Date   15 Oct 1798

Mary Hillman
Christening Date   11 Apr 1802
Christening Place   SAINT MARY,STAFFORD,STAFFORD,ENGLAND
Birth Date   31 Mar 1802

But you probably know that.
How/Where do you fit into the Hillman puzzle?
I wonder if George [Dave] might have done research here?
Nice to hear from you,
Mel Cartwright

Staffordshire Lookup Requests / Weaver family, ipstones 1861 Census
« on: Tuesday 06 October 15 19:29 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
I have a Hannah Weaver born 1855, Ipstones and am trying to place her with her family in the 1861 or 1871 census to obtain [hopefully] some more details.
All I know is her father [from her marriage certificate] was Joseph Weaver.
I do apologise for a lack of information, please could someone do your best,
Many Thanks,
Mel C
